National Home Energy Rating Standards Combined in New Mortgage IndustryÊNational Home Energy Rating Accreditation Standards Ê
As the result of a long vetting and public comment process RESNET has combined the HERS technical guidelines, rating provider accreditation, and rater training provider accreditation standard into a single document, the ÒMortgage Industry National Home Energy Rating Systems Accreditation StandardsÓ. After January 1, 2003, accredited rating providers must comply with all of the provision contained in the combined standards. The main differences is that rating providers must document that their raters are trained by a RESNET accredited rater training provider and use a rating software that is documented to comply with the technical guidelines. The new standards are posted on RESNETÕs web site at http://www.natresnet.org/accred/amended.htm. Ê
RESNET Track at EEBA Conference Ê
RESNET will be joining the EEBA Excellence in Building Conference that will be taking place on October 9-12, 2002, Phoenix, Arizona.Ê As part of this partnership, on Wednesday, October 9 RESNET will have a single day dedicated to home energy rating and residential energy efficiency financing issues.Ê The RESNET sessions will include:
